Where to begin...

Well let's start at where we left off. We were able to sell our home really quickly. We got a good price and we are so grateful for that. We found a new place and are really loving it. We are literally around the corner and down the hill from my parents. We moved in on the 1st of June. It was crazy. I was really hoping that it would put me into labor, but alas it did not. So I took to cleaning. I scrubbed the walls, I swept the decks, I painted walls...nothing!!

So our Dr. was leaving the country and said that he would induce us on the 14th. It was sooooo far away, but we went in. He felt like it would be super quick, this being our second time around and all. NOPE!! That little turkey she was to comfortable. They did a few times of cytotech and nothing!! So they sent us home. I was devastated. Did I mention that we have a wonderful Dr? Well he knew my concerns and fears and set us up an appointment with another Dr in the practice. She stripped my membrane (NEVER AGAIN). She then informed us that she could get the job done. She felt confidante that she could break my water. So we went back to the hospital that night, tried a different drug and she broke my water at 11 am. Our nurse than cranked up the pit. That was the longest day and most horrible experience ever. The girl just REFUSED to come. Come to find out, she was face forward with her hand on her head. At 8:30 p.m.ish the Dr. came back and said that we were going to have a baby. So they wheeled me in to the OR and about 30 mins later we had our beautiful little girl. Kenley Marie Gardner, awesome I know. When they got her out they realized that not only was she backward stubborn, she had the cord wrapped around her feet, like she was bungee jumping. She was also 7 lbs and 14 oz. (this is the skinniest she had looked, so far). That would have been a nightmare, so I am so grateful to the that Dr. I would say if I had to choose, I would do the C-section again. My labors are AWFUL!!

Then, they reorganized the stake and now we are in the same ward as my parents. I was/am worried that I burden my mother too much, but I hopeful that our relationship is such that she would tell me. Since that time, they have put Richard in as Elder's Quorum Pres and I am the primary pianist. I miss my Sunday school kids a ton but the primary kids are super cute. We went to the EISF and Richard had a doughnut burger and chocolate covered bacon. Seth went was able to feed some goats, it was pretty cute.

We had our 4 generation pic with Richard and his grandma. We have made some improvements to the house, mostly just paint, but we had grapes all along 3/4's of the front of our house, we ripped those down and have cleaned up the flower beds a bit.

Seth is getting so big. He said to both Richard and I, "don't worry Mom/Dad, we will find the moon". Kenley is such a cutie. I love her!! She is smiley and happy most of the time. What I don't like is how quickly she is growing. It seems like she is growing way faster than Seth. She is already almost sitting up, by herself. Both kids are such a joy to me. I am so glad that I get to stay home and watch them grow. Check back soon for Halloween. I am so excited I can hardly contain it.

He is getting so big. I LOVE him so much. We have so much fun together. Now that it is getting nice outside, I can't keep him inside. Our prospective new house has a huge fenced yard that he can play in and i am so excited for him to have a bunch of grass so that I can practice working on grass stains.

Here I am, getting bigger. I have just about 5 weeks left, give or take a few days. I am really looking forward to meeting this little person as she is a bit of a busy person and give me heartburn everyday.

House for sale

We put our house on the market and sold it 2 weeks later. We don't have a definite closing date so I am packing slowly. I am so proud of all the improvements we have made and I am going to be sad to leave our neighbors and kids from my Sunday school class.

Pay no attention to all the clutter on the counters. I am working on packing things up.

We do have a place to move to. I will post pics when we get there.

Spring Creek

We went to Spring Creek for Macin's baptism. We had a nice time other than I was horribly sick and then Seth got sick. It was nice to be with family and friends. We hope to see them again very soon.

Getting bigger...

Our little family is growing...We are expecting a little girl in early June. It took a little getting use to, but I am getting excited, and anxious for her to get here. Seth is handling it pretty well. I am sure that once she gets here his life will fall apart, but he has grandmas that love him like crazy and so hopefully that will ease the transition. Currently we just talk about his baby and whether it is a brother or a sister. He knows that there is a baby in Mommy's tummy and that it is a sister, but I am sure that there will be a few melt downs.

Christmas

We had a pretty uneventful Christmas, which is always nice. We spent Christmas Eve with Richard's parents and then Christmas day at our house and my parents. Seth was spoiled rotten, as was I. Like usual, we set a budget and I am diligent in sticking to it, however, Richard is super fantastic and spoils me like crazy. This year he got me my dream sewing machine. It has been wonderful!!

Here are some pictures of Seth with his favorite thing...balls. Richard got him some wiffel balls and my parents got him a basketball hoop. He is so funny. Richard's Mom got him a rocking chair. It is so funny to see him sitting in it.

Lot's of catching up to do

We have done so much stuff. Ok, maybe not soooo much, but enough to blog about. We got grass, and had a flood. We are doing some tile and I did paint, though you can’t really tell here. Seth is a running fool. I can’t believe how much he loves to run around and he is now turning in circles, which is a pretty funny thing to watch. I LOVE being home with him. He is amazing. My Mom, sisters and all the kids went to Ogden for a couple of days. My Mom has a condo there and we had a good time. It was Seth’s first official time swimming. After he got used to the water he had a good time floating and being pushed around. He really looked like all he needed was a cozy with a juice box in it. Other than that we are just hanging out and trying to get the house done. Hopefully we can get some really progress made over the next couple of weeks. I will keep you posted.

So it seems like time is on warp speed because it was just Christmas and now it is Valentine’s and in two weeks it will be Seth’s birthday. Totally not OK!! I just had that kid, I swear to you.

We have been trying to be better about taking pictures of things that Seth does. So this is what he has been doing. We had our Stake Conference two weeks ago and Richard and I wanted to attend the adult session so we hired Seth’s favorite babysitter, (She is so cute), and he had quite an adventure. His babysitter is on the Poky Indianettes dance team and they had a game so Seth went to his first basketball game. Needless to say he was not really happy about it. Although, he did get to sit with the team captain, and she is a cutie, but we love our babysitter more.

He also sat with some complete stranger and he did pretty well I guess.

The Robbins’ also wanted everyone to know how awesome Poky is and so here is the final score, we (Poky) are home.

Halloween was a good time. We got many complements on Seth's costume.

I think that he is way cuter than the model on the bag. I was a special plant that only monkey's like and those aren't bruises, but flowers that I drew and colored on my face.

So I have some super big news. I quit my job. I am done at the end of the month. I just want to be with my Seth Man. He is a amazing. But before I am done at work we still have HOMECOMING. And for the record, this is not my brain child, I just helped to build it. And I must say that if we don't win, I am going to complain.

The theme is "CRUSH the Lumberjacks", that is the team that we are playing. So we have a HUGE can of Bengal Crush sitting on the lumberjack. Pretty sweet, I must say.

So Richard's parents got us this cool Kelty Kid pack. We went to the Farmer's Market on Saturday and that was the first time we had ever used it. Plus I got to put Seth in his super cute hat.

Also Seth got a highchair. Here we are eating Grandma's home made bread. Don't tell our pediatrician I don't think that he would like that so much. So big, I know I totally wanted to cry, but he is so good. I just love that kid.

Six Months

My how time does fly. I can't believe it, but the boy is 6 months old. At his check up last week he weighed 16 lbs and 2 oz, he is also 26.5" long. He is just growing, growing, growing. Other than that things are relatively quiet around here. Richard got put in as Young Men's Pres about 2 weeks ago, and he has really been enjoying that. Our primary program is on Sunday and I am a little nervous. Because of our church time we won't be able to practice in the chapel and I have never not practiced in the chapel all the days of my primary life, as a child and a teacher. So wish us luck. Our chorister is amazing. She is so creative and can get those kids to do a whole lot of stuff. I can't believe that September is almost half over, time is just flying by. I wish I could slow it down just a bit. School has started again, and I chose not to take any classes, which I think is best. I feel like a part-time Mom and that makes me want to cry as it is. Hopefully I can start up again in the Spring. I am looking into some correspondence and maybe taking a class here and there, only 36 (hopefully) credits to go. I can't believe I am that close.

This is the first finished solid anything that I have been able to make him eat. My sister can get him to eat a whole jar of something every time that he is there. I definetly need some serious lessons.

What a turkey!!

Here he is in our exersaucer that we got for 10 bucks! Yep you read it right. 10 Dollars!!! We love craigslist. (Sorry, I think that he has a bit of yuke on his face, I am not really sure though)

Our doctor said that he could probably have some crackers. Here they are. This is one quater of a graham cracker. Most of it is on the counter, as you can see and the rest is in the bumbo. No that is not graham cracker throw-up just mashed up and not swallowed. GROSS!

You can't really tell from this pic, but the boy is mostly asleep, I would say checking his eyelids for holes but he was playing with the piglet at the same time. So cute. I think that there are some ingenious inventions for parents out there and the swing is one of them. If you are a first time parent, invest in a swing that sings too. He was just swinging and snoring away.

So I haven't blogged in a while and really I don't have a lot to say. Seth man is getting big. He weighs 13 lbs and is 24" long. I am so proud. He is drooling a lot and I think I can see his teeth buds. I just can't believe how time flys. He can kind of hold his own bottle and I am just so happy to see his growth and progression. I love his little voice and to make him laugh is just awesome. Being a mom ROCKS and was totally worth the wait. Here are some random pics for you to enjoy.

So on Saturday we started installing our air conditioning, (not quite done). Seth and I decided that the boys, Dad and Grandpa, would probably need some provisions before to long and so we thought that we would head out to the gas station. Seth has never riden in his stroller without his car seat and so I thought that I would give it a try. Here are some excellent pics. Needless to say, it didn't last, we rode in our car seat in the stroller to the gas station. (The hat rocks, I know)

Last Saturday we did our very first 5k with a bunch of rockin' ladies from my office. It was so much fun. I am so excited to do it again. Thanks ladies you are all amazing and made this adventure so much better.

Also with last Sunday being Father's Day and it being Richard's first official FD, because as stated previously the dogs don't count. Richard recieved a new pair of sunglasses and a sweet new little camera that is totally handy. I must say that Seth and I and our future children really did luck out because he is currently singing our baby to sleep. What an amazing man. We have been truly blessed to have Richard as our Husband and Father. I really just love him and am grateful that he just puts up with me. Here is a cute pic I snapped a little while ago.

I am really interested in photography and my husband bought me this awesome camera so that I could take SWEET pictures of the boy, I must say that it totally rocks!!! So, this weekend we got PS3 extended and I have been learning how to do stuff. This is one of the things that I have just learned to do. Hope that you enjoy. Hopefully I will get better with time. The first babysitting experience

Okay, so I am totally a crazy person. Before I had kids I told myself that I would have no problem asking one of the girls in the ward to watch our kids. But, when it came down to it, I couldn't do it. Not because I didn't think that they were capable but because, I felt like I was inconviencing them. I know crazy. We have had numerous people tell us that if we ever needed a sitter that they would happily do it, but I just couldn't bring myself to call any of those people, so I made Richard. Ultimately we chose the Robbins girl, and she rocked it, like I had any doubt. She was an excellent babysitter, and I know that Seth loved her. We went to Indiana Jones and it totally rocked. I LOVE Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford is just wonderful. So I survived. We saw the Robbins parents on our way into the movie and they were on their way home, which was good, again, not that I was worried, but because I am CRAZY. Seth was a model child and they would watch him again, no problem. Thanks to them because I am a big chicken. Enjoy this pic of the boy on his first babysitting experience.

We just went in and weighed the man cub today and he now weighs 10lbs. I can't belive it. He was so small when he started and now he is just getting to big. I have the picture of the creases in his little leg, and it is just getting bigger. I just love his little self. I

You know how those weekends just slip by a little to quickly? This was certainly one of those kind. I felt like a got a bit done however and that made me feel pretty good. Richard and I were able to go to the temple on Saturday, what a nice place to be. I really just enjoyed the peace of the place. I need to go again. I got a lot of laundry done and even made myself a chore chart that hopefully will be helpful to me. I also got some EXCELLENT fabric to make me some slings for my man cub. You know how sometimes you just want to snuggle, but need to get things done? I have, hopefully, the answer: SLINGS!! Here is hoping that they work. I am so glad that it is a three day weekend coming up too, man what a relief. Hopefully we can get more stuff done. My goal is getting the tree trimmed, start on AIR CONDITIONING and work on the yard, maybe sprinklers or rototilling. Something, anything to feel like we are making progress to moving on to something a little bigger and hopefully better.
I love being a Mom. That little man cub is just so cute. He was so chatty and smily on Saturday. Oh my he is handsome and fun and mostly a wonderful baby. I just LOVE him. I hope that he just loves us back.

Saturday is a special day...

So Saturday was just excellent. Seth gets up around 4:30 am and I bring him into our room and he will usually sleep until 6:00. So instead of going back to bed, since that doesn’t happen ever during the week, we got up and went for a walk. This was Seth’s first “official” walk, in his SWEET stroller that Richard let me have. We took the baby and the dogs and walked for about 30 mins. It was so nice. It wasn’t that cold and we got some exercise which I love to do.

Then we went to my parents to go to free dump day, the highlight of our Saturday. Then the boys went to lunch and Mom and I went to Granny’s to help her with her branches. Her responsibility was to watch the Seth man, and we were trying to get a smile from him, but got a big lip instead.

My first “official” Mother’s Day (I guess the dogs don’t count) was yesterday and I was totally spoiled. Richard got me a sweet laptop, so that I don’t have to share with him. I got a card from both him and Seth and Richard cooked breakfast. Church was good, and we mostly chilled yesterday, which was nice. But it is back to the grind today.

I am so proud of my little man. When we went to the dr. last week for his 2 month appt. and he hadn't gained any weight. So we had to calorie pack the kid and he has gained 12 oz. my little man now has a crease in his leg. I should take a picture because it is so cute. I love him!!

Hmm, today has been great so far. I went to Pilates. I LOVE pilates. I know that I am going to probably be sore tomorrow, but man is it worth it. Richard is working on the roof today. It gets pretty windy here and some of our shingles blow off every year. This last winter has been no exception, so today I think that will be fixed. He is also going to load up our old fence posts so that next week we can take them up to the dump for free dump day. I LOVE free dump day. Seth and I are just chillin in the house. I need to vaccuum and such, and he is just swinging away, happy as a pig in slop. I am so glad it is saturday. I wish it was going to be saturday a few days in a row. Man that would be great. But alas, it is not that way. Looking forward to the day that I can stay home and play all day. Not today but soon, I hope.

Blogging away

Well another week is come and almost gone. Another month is here another fallen away. I just can’t believe that it is May. Time is just marching forward. This blog is all about thankfulness. I think I can profess my religious views in my blog, so here I go. I am so grateful to my Father in Heaven who so richly blesses my life. I have a wonderful husband who works so very hard to provide for our little family and wants so much for us and truly works to get us closer to those desires, he is my true love. I am so very grateful for my wonderful son. He is one of the most miraculous things I have ever done. I love him. I am thankful for modern medicine and a physician that cares and wants everything to be okay for us. I love him too :). I can’t really express how much my faith means to me. I am grateful for my faith and the strength that I receive from it. I know that God lives and he knows and loves me. I know Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, without him, I would get nowhere. I am just really thankful for all that I have and know that none of it is possible without my wonderful husband and our faith in Christ and God.

Well I guess this blog thing is pretty hot, so I should probably jump on the wagon. Richard and I are doing well, if you were wondering. Our little man is growing like a weed, with chicken legs. Tomorrow is his 2 month appt. and I am not looking forward to that. Richard started a new "job" today and I am hopefull that this will keep his interest. The university is always changing and so my life at work is always changing. I love this little man that now lives in my office, next to my elliptical machine. My two huge dogs are just the best with our new addition and I couldn't be happier. This blog thing should be interesting, I guess we will just see what comes of it.
